Authorities have arrested a Miami resident who has been convicted three times for retail theft in connection with at least six new cases.
On Wednesday, 34-year-old Timothy Lamon Henderson was taken into custody on various counts of petty theft, one count of grand theft, and multiple trespassing-after-warning charges.
Arrest records indicate that Herderson had been found guilty of petty theft in both 2009 and 2011. Following a third conviction, he was placed on probation for a period of five years beginning in October of 2023.
According to reports, Bath & Body Works stores have been targeted in several recent theft cases. The authorities have identified a previous offender, Herderson, who is familiar to both the police and at least one store employee due to his involvement in past thefts.
According to reports, the alleged crime spree began on May 3rd when Henderson entered the Bath & Body Works store located at 3401 N. Miami Avenue. He proceeded to put 9 candles into a bag he was carrying and then went to another area to add 3 fragrances to the bag. The items taken were valued at $295.40.
On May 4th, at the Bath & Body Works store, Herderson reportedly stole eight candles valued at $215.60. An employee confronted him, but he still managed to leave the store with the stolen items.
According to reports, on June 1st, at the Bath & Body Works located at 401 Biscayne Boulevard, Henderson was accused of placing eight candles inside a bag, followed by snatching 57 car fragrances. The total cost of the items was calculated to be $725.85.
According to reports, on July 10, Henderson allegedly took 12 candles from the Bath & Body Works store located at 3401 N. Miami Avenue and left without paying. The candles were valued at $323.40 in total.
According to reports, on July 25th, Herderson was caught on camera stealing a variety of school uniform clothing items from the Children’s Place Outlet at Dolphin Mall. The total value of the stolen goods amounted to $2,452.
On July 31, he reportedly took 24 pieces of polos and pants from the Children’s Place at Miami International Mall without paying. The items were worth $498.08 in total.
According to reports, the store manager disclosed that he had previously stolen from the store, but chose not to report it to the police due to the small quantities involved in the thefts.
Records indicate that Henderson is currently held on an out-of-county warrant at a Miami-Dade jail. Unfortunately, there is currently no information available regarding his attorney.
