Kevin Yungman, a 31-year-old individual, has been taken into custody and is currently being held in the Broward County jail. He is awaiting extradition to Ireland.
According to the documents, the victim notified the Irish police about the incident two days later. Subsequently, Yungman was apprehended by officers at Dublin Airport while attempting to board a flight.
According to authorities, the woman presented a WhatsApp message to the police wherein Yungman assured her that such an incident would never occur again.
Yungman stated in two police interviews that the sexual encounter was consensual and he was subsequently released. However, court documents reveal that on February 13, 2020, the Irish Director of Public Prosecutions ordered that he be charged with rape.
According to court documents, Yungman may face a potential life sentence if found guilty under Irish law.
Yungman, who hails from Buenos Aires, has appeared in several television and film productions, as well as showcasing his acting skills on stage, as per the Internet Movie Database.
In a montage posted on his YouTube channel, he shares several interviews with Local 10 News from the late 2000s. These interviews took place after he emerged as the winner of the “Cirque Dreams” contest when he was just 16 years old and still a student at Cypress Bay High School.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still held in the Broward Main Jail.
