Several women in the Brickell area of Miami have come forward, complaining about being harassed by a man on a scooter. Miami recently interviewed two of these women.
“We are speaking out to raise awareness about this man’s behavior and put an end to it,” they expressed their motivation.
Several complaints were raised on the Brickell Living Group page on Facebook regarding an ongoing issue that has been persisting for months.
The Miami Police have not confirmed the person’s identity who has been the subject of numerous complaints on the Brickell Living Group page on Facebook.
Chava Feigen reported to the Miami Police that she was accosted last Friday around 10 a.m. as she exited a Yoga studio located near S.E. 8th Street and Brickell Avenue. According to her, a man on a scooter approached her and said, “Excuse me, excuse me.”
According to Feigen, he became unsettled when the individual began asking peculiar questions, such as his shoe size. Something triggered a realization in Feigen’s mind that this person resembled someone he had seen on Facebook, who had been involved in peculiar encounters with girls. Feigen then made the decision to process this information and distance himself from the situation.
“This child refused to give up and began trailing me on his scooter, gradually raising his voice and uttering unsettling and inappropriate remarks.”
“I was truly shocked and caught off guard,” she expressed. “It’s quite unsettling as there are numerous women around here. If you happen to spot him, it’s best to avoid approaching him. Don’t interact with him. Simply disregard him.”
Zoli Honig, her husband, is equally concerned.
“He said it’s not normal for someone to approach a woman and inquire about her feet.”
In a Facebook post, Nyvold shared a video capturing a concerning incident. In the footage, a man can be heard repeatedly saying “feet, feet, feet,” which is causing distress among residents in the Brickell area. Nyvold expressed her frustration, stating that such behavior should not be tolerated as it poses a threat to the local community.
Miami Police are currently refraining from providing any comments on camera regarding the situation. However, a spokeswoman has acknowledged that they are fully aware of the complaints and are actively investigating to determine if any criminal activities have taken place.
