Residents reached out last July, on Thursday, expressing that their air conditioning had once again malfunctioned.

Robert Alwine, the president of Bayview Condominium Management, stated in an interview with NBC6 on Thursday that an emergency repair was required for an HVAC pipe flange. Alwine explained that the flange broke within the pipe, resulting in a leak. As a result, they had to shut down the air conditioning system on Wednesday night.

According to Alwine from NBC6, the problem affected towers three and four. However, the necessary repairs were carried out on Thursday. He mentioned that the air conditioning in towers one, two, and four was fully functional by Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, the AC on floors 3-15 in tower three was still not working.

According to Alwine, the adhesive used necessitates a 24-hour curing period. As a result, the air conditioning in tower three will not be operational until Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Alwine expressed their commitment to resolving the issue promptly, stating, “We addressed it as swiftly as we could. We kindly ask for their patience until 3 o’clock tomorrow, by which time we will have restored the service.”

Alwine acknowledges that it would be presumptuous to claim that nothing will happen again, given the age of the pipes. He emphasizes the importance of being proactive and addressing any potential issues promptly.
