A woman in Miami has been arrested on charges of attempted murder. The arrest is in connection with an incident that occurred in May, where she allegedly deliberately ran over another woman and threatened to kill her.
Christal Azure Alexandre accused the victim of “taking her man.” The incident occurred while the victim was celebrating her sister’s birthday in Wynwood with Alexandre’s ex-boyfriend, according to the police.
According to the arrest report, on the morning of May 6, the victim spotted Alexandre in a Wynwood parking lot, standing beside her friend’s car. Curious, she inquired if he recognized her, to which her friend replied, “It’s my ex-girlfriend.”
According to the police, Alexandre, a 26-year-old resident of Miami Gardens, started following the couple once they left Wynwood. He proceeded to drive in a reckless manner and began chasing them.
According to the report, the victim and Alexandre had a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when they stopped in the Little Havana area at Flagler Street and Northwest Eighth Avenue.
The woman promptly informed the Miami police about the incident two days later, as per authorities.
Alexandre was apprehended by the police at a business park in Miami Lakes on Friday. Upon her arrest, she chose to exercise her rights and refrained from engaging in any conversation with law enforcement officials.
On Monday, Alexandre continued to be held without bond in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
