The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s proposal to introduce golf courses, pickleball courts, and lodging options to nine state parks has faced widespread public opposition.
He further requests that the governor make all public records regarding the plan, known as the ” [Name of the Plan]” available for release.
The organization called for an immediate start to a formal investigation.
The plan, which was reported late last month, has sparked outrage from both Republicans and Democrats. This is unlike many other controversial proposals that have been unveiled during DeSantis’ 5-1/2 years in Tallahassee.
Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson, Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, and Panhandle-area Congressman Matt Gaetz all voiced their criticism of the proposal, with protests also emerging.
