Miami-Dade County is providing essential housing assistance to low-income families, located in Northwest Miami-Dade.
On Tuesday, officials from the local county commemorated the grand opening of Phase II of Superior Manor Apartments, located in Northwest Miami-Dade.
A total of 76 multi-family residences are now available for families who need affordable housing. These newly-built apartments aim to address the growing demand for affordable housing options.
According to officials, the units have already been occupied, but they have plans for additional apartments in the future.
According to Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, there is no other place in the country that is doing as much as Miami-Dade County. The county has an impressive pipeline of 32,000 new constructions underway, and they have also taken measures to prevent evictions. Additionally, the county is providing subsidies to help people afford housing and is working to preserve naturally occurring affordable housing.
The units in the apartment complex include one, two, and three-bedroom options, each with their own private balcony.
Amenities at the complex include a community clubhouse, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck for residents to enjoy.
In 2018, the initial phase of the project was successfully concluded, which included the construction of 139 units catering primarily to senior residents.
The major financing for the project comes from the affordable housing surtax of the county.
