In April, a man was killed in an execution-style shooting inside his jet ski repair shop in Miami’s Brownsville neighborhood. A shocking new video has emerged, capturing the moment of the fatal incident.
On Tuesday, NBC6 obtained exclusive surveillance footage of the murder of 49-year-old German Amado de la Cruz Jr. The video provides a visual account of the events that occurred on April 10th.
The police identified the shooter as Joseph Fullwood, who entered De la Cruz’s Miami Beach Jet Ski Rentals business while he was busy and shot him at close range.
Upon discovery, de la Cruz was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound by a witness. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but was unfortunately declared deceased upon arrival.
According to the police, Fullwood was apprehended the following day after attempting to flee the scene on his bicycle.
According to loved ones, de la Cruz had been working at the Brownsville warehouse for approximately six years and was a familiar face in the community.
According to the police, Fullwood, who is 46 years old, admitted to the shooting. He allegedly told the investigators that he had been with de la Cruz in the days leading up to the murder.
According to an arrest report, the defendant claimed to have heard on the streets that the victim was known as a snitch. Additionally, the defendant spent two weeks at the victim’s business and observed actions that he believed confirmed the rumors.
Fullwood, who is currently in custody, is awaiting trial for a second-degree murder charge. Despite pleading not guilty, he will be back in court in October.
