Offenders traveled from outside Florida to the arranged meeting places, where deputies and detectives conducted an operation resulting in the seizure of guns, drugs, cash, and vehicles. Notably, two of the arrests were illegal aliens.

Woods recounted an incident involving Francisco Alvarez-Tello, an undocumented immigrant. According to Woods, while they were arresting Alvarez-Tello, he laughed. Woods acknowledged that law enforcement officers are often subjected to disrespectful behavior, but he considered Alvarez-Tello’s behavior particularly repugnant. Woods expressed his strong stance on illegal immigrants, stating that his team contacts the appropriate federal authorities, including the US Border Patrol, whenever they come across any. According to Woods, the authorities have informed them that the individual in question is currently undergoing deportation proceedings.

According to Woods, there is no established procedure for an undocumented immigrant to harm children in their country. He believes that the solution is to promptly deport the perpetrator without any delay. Woods strongly asserts that such individuals should not be allowed to remain in the United States, let alone his county.

Detectives are actively investigating several cases and anticipate making additional arrests in the near future.

Sheriff Woods expressed his disdain towards individuals who prey on children in Marion County. He made it clear that the authorities will continue to dedicate their time and resources to bring these disgusting predators to justice.

The Marion County Jail is the only place for child predators in the area. In just one afternoon of operation, the authorities arrested nine people who had traveled to meet a child for sexual purposes. Sheriff Woods urged parents to be vigilant about their children’s online activities, as child predators actively seek their prey on social media and online gaming platforms.
