In Davie early Saturday morning, a young man from Tamarac lost his life after he was thrown out of his pickup truck in a crash on Interstate 75. The deceased was 21 years old.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 north on I-75 near Sheridan Street at around 3:23 a.m. It is not yet known why, but the man lost control of the truck. The man’s name has not been released to the public.
According to officials, the F-150 lost control and spun out across all lanes of the northbound interstate. The vehicle eventually collided with the front of a guardrail before spinning out again and hitting the end of the guardrail.
According to FHP, the F-150 driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle during the initial collision, causing his body to hit the guardrail’s front.
Authorities stated that he passed away at the location of the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
