The incident took place on Sunday on the bustling Opa-locka Boulevard, a one-way street, at Northwest 10th Avenue.

According to neighbors, accidents occur frequently in that area.

Children returning from school often find themselves having to navigate the streets.

The branches of the trees make it difficult to see the only stop sign on 10th Avenue.

Local 10’s Janine Stanwood was shown numerous photos by residents, depicting a series of incidents that took place during the summer.

We contacted Miami-Dade County, the authority responsible for traffic lights and signage, to inquire about the absence of signage.

A worker promptly arrived with a new sign in less than 90 minutes.
