A friend who had been assisting him in Miami was stabbed, leading to the arrest of a 61-year-old man who is currently held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to the police.
Ronald Vital and the victim informed Miami police officers that they had been acquainted for several years. They recounted a disagreement that occurred on Wednesday while they were at Ben Photo in Little Haiti.
According to the police, the victim reported that he had been letting Vital stay at Ben Photo, a place located along Northeast 54 Street, near Second Avenue, for approximately a month. The argument between them began when the victim asked Vital to manage his clutter properly.
According to the police, Vital expressed his anger to an officer, stating that he was upset with his friend for slapping him in the face during a disagreement about missing identification. The victim was promptly transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by fire rescue personnel. Subsequently, Vital was taken into custody by the police on Thursday morning.
Miami-Dade prosecutors have recently filed a felony case against Vital on charges of attempted murder causing injury and aggravated battery against a person aged 65 or older, as per court records. In response, Vital’s defense has submitted a written plea of not guilty. The case will be overseen by Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Teresa Mary Poole.
