A Miami-Dade woman got arrested for reportedly operating an illicit post-cosmetic surgery recovery center when authorities discovered three patients recuperating in a residential property.
Yadira Cruz-Rosales, 37, faced an arrest on Tuesday for allegedly running an assisted living facility without the necessary license, according to an arrest report.
Miami-Dade Police received an anonymous complaint about six women being present in a home on Southwest 101st Avenue, in the 4900 block. The complaint suggested that these women might be in the process of recovering from surgeries.
According to the individual who lodged the complaint, the women seemed to be experiencing discomfort, with some of them even having blood stains on their clothing.
When the officers arrived at the residence, they discovered a red biohazard waste container with a lock on it in the front driveway.
According to the report, the authorities discovered three patients and one employee present inside the residence.
According to the report, the patients were interviewed and they mentioned that they received care from Cruz-Rosales and the staff. This care included assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, using the bathroom, maintaining personal hygiene, and administering medication.
According to the report, patients claimed that they paid $300 per night for the services, making payments in both cash and through Zelle. Additionally, the employee mentioned that she received $500 per week for providing these services to the patients.
Upon conducting a records check, it was determined that the residence did not possess the necessary state license to operate as an assisted living facility.
Cruz-Rosales has been arrested and is currently in police custody. Unfortunately, there is no available information regarding his attorney at this time.
