The serial burglars were aware that the residents were not at home. They targeted safes, jewelry, and luxury goods, but refrained from causing any damage to the homes.

Upon returning from her vacation, a resident of Coral Gables found herself unable to open the garage door and discovered that her sliding glass door was left unlocked. This unfortunate situation was a result of a power outage.

A family residing in South Miami went through a similar horrifying experience. They, too, discovered that the burglars had disabled their power supply and rendered their surveillance cameras and alarm systems useless.

Residents are encouraged to keep in mind that they have the option to request a watch order for their homes when they are away. This allows patrol officers to be more vigilant and keep a closer eye on their property.
