A recently released video displays the vicious assault that occurred on a crowded street in Miami Beach, resulting in the deaths of one woman and another being charged with murder.
On June 26, the deadly attack took place in the vicinity of 5th Street and Ocean Drive.
A woman, identified by police as 20-year-old Zaria Liana Williams, was caught on cellphone video repeatedly punching another woman, as seen in footage obtained by NBC6 on Wednesday.
Initially, Mathis is breathing and her eyes are open, but she remains still.
“Can you hear me, Anna?” asks the officer, while a person claiming to be a nurse attempts to help her.

Upon arrival, the rescue workers immediately began to assist Mathis. The arrest report revealed that Mathis suffered from fractured ribs, a broken sternum, and a “catastrophic” brain bleed. Mathis was quickly transported to Mount Sinai Hospital for medical attention.
As per the report of the arrest, witnesses stated that Mathis had tugged on a necklace that Williams was wearing, resulting in Williams becoming agitated and pursuing her.
According to the report, a male bystander shoved Williams off the victim before he left.
Mathis’ death resulted in Williams’ charge being upgraded from aggravated battery to second-degree murder.
