On Monday night, July 1st, 2024, three teenagers from the Hudson Valley got into trouble for an event that occurred just after 8 pm.
The New Windsor Police Department received an alert about a stolen vehicle spotted on Windsor Highway, as per their press release.
Officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop shortly after receiving the alert. A prompt investigation ensued, during which the three teenagers were successfully identified. The first teenager was identified as Logan Delaney, an 18-year-old resident of Middletown. The second teenager was identified as Edgardo Louis O’Neil, also 18 years old, and a resident of Middletown. While the identity of the third teenager was withheld, it was confirmed that he was a 16-year-old male.
During the investigation, officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and uncovered a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun. Additionally, they found that the license plates displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen from Newburgh. These findings proved to be significant breakthroughs in the case.

After being arrested, the Centralized Arraignment Part in Goshen held both 18-year-olds in custody until their arraignment. On the other hand, the 16-year-old was held in the Youth Part of County Court. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

If someone is charged with stealing property, they could face a class E felony charge. This charge may result in a maximum penalty of four years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. In addition, if the individual gained financial benefit from the stolen property, they may be subject to a fine that is double the amount they made.
