Over the weekend, a transgender girl was reportedly stabbed 18 times by a 29-year-old man at the Miami International Airport, who is now in police custody.
Love was taken to Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation by the police, and he is currently being held without bond.
The commotion that followed Friday’s CrowdStrike outage exacerbated the situation at the airport. Multiple flights were delayed, adding to the already busy atmosphere.
According to a Delta Air Lines passenger who spoke to WTVJ, the fight escalated, when someone shouted “run.” In response, all of the passengers ran away from the altercation.
Following a brief interruption due to the incident, airport operations quickly resumed as usual after Love’s arrest. It’s worth noting that while law enforcement initially identified the victim as male, they later clarified that the victim was in the process of transitioning to female.
