Authorities in Miami-Dade County, Florida, are currently investigating a tragic incident of domestic violence that resulted in a murder-suicide. The incident took place in the Westview neighborhood, and law enforcement officials are actively looking into the matter.
Detective Andre D. Martin revealed that there were three children, aged 9, 13, and 15, along with an adult present when their two parents tragically passed away in their residence, located near the intersection of West Randall Park Drive and Northwest 124 Terrace.
According to a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, one of the children of the deceased individuals was taken to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The spokesperson emphasized that the child was brought to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
“We discovered a firearm at the scene,” Martin explained. “The precise location of the firearm will play a crucial role in the case, as it supports our belief that this is an apparent murder-suicide.”
