On Thursday afternoon, an ATV lost control and collided with a canal, causing two women to fall into the water.
According to the police, one of the women was fatally injured. Police in Miami-Dade County reported that the unidentified women were operating an ATV in the vicinity of Southwest 112th Street and 157th Avenue when they lost control and collided with a nearby canal at approximately 1 p.m.
Both were extracted from the water, and one was transported to West Kendall Baptist Hospital in critical condition. Police reported that she passed away at a later date.
