Showers have started to move into certain areas of South Florida this morning. There is an increasing chance of rain for today as the Saharan dust starts to clear, making way for more moisture to enter the region. Additionally, scattered storms are expected to develop from late morning through the afternoon.
Thursday is expected to have an even higher chance of rain as the atmosphere becomes moist and unstable south of a frontal boundary. This will result in more widespread storms, potentially bringing heavy downpours. Despite the rain, temperatures will remain toasty with highs in the low 90s, offering some relief from the heat.
Friday in South Florida is expected to be a rather unsettled day, with the possibility of more storms. The temperatures will reach the low 90s, but it will feel even hotter with the heat index reaching triple digits.
The weekend forecast calls for a decrease in the chance of rain, thanks to the arrival of drier air. Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid, with temperatures reaching the low 90s. There may be a few isolated storms in some areas.
